Calling Flagstaff their second home, Tucson’s Mariachi Sol Azteca and Compania de Danza Folklorica Arizona made a successful return to the “Flagstaff Summertime Tardeada 2015” fiesta on Saturday, June 27 in the parking lot of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church.
The free entertainment was brought to the community by Flagstaff Nuestras Raíces.
Mariachi Sol Azteca has become a fan favorite, with the group appearing regularly at the annual Celebraciones de la Gente / Día de los Muertos celebration at the Museum of Northern Arizona, and at last year’s inaugural tardeada.
Following the tardeada fiesta on Saturday, the group performed a Mariachi Mass on Sunday, June 28 at both Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church and at San Francisco de Asis Church.
