The 14th Annual Viola Awards are happening THIS Saturday, April 30th! This year’s event will be one to remember. A limited number of tickets for the event are still available. Don’t wait — get yours today!

This year’s Viola Awards are recognizing 41 finalists across 10 categories. See the full list of finalists on our website. Winners will be announced during the main ceremony on April 30th.

Purchasing a ticket to the main ceremony includes admission to the afterparty which will feature our four Excellence in Music finalists: iiwaa, Tré Orona & Tsoh Tso, WinterHaven, & Tha ‘Yoties.

Creative Flagstaff — Early Access to Viola Tickets ends tomorrow!

We had an issue with the member discount codes earlier this week, but it should all be sorted now. Use code VA22 to unlock tickets AND receive a 10% discount on your tickets! Tickets will go on sale to the general public tomorrow, Friday, April 7th. Your 10% discount will still apply after tomorrow. Creative Flagstaff is thrilled to share the 14th Annual Viola Awards finalists. Winners will be announced at the Viola Awards on Saturday, April 30, 2022 at the Orpheum Theater in downtown Flagstaff. Viola Awards Panelists have the important job of determining the finalists & winners of the awards. We encourage past Panelists, Finalists, Winners, Industry Experts, and Enthusiastic Community Members to apply. Get more involved and help shape the Viola Awards. Viola Awards — Limited Tickets Available!

After selling out in just 3 days, we worked with Coconino County Parks & Recreation and Health & Human Services to safely add more tickets to the 13th Annual Viola Awards on Friday, June 18th at the Pepsi Amphitheater.

Tickets for spots on the lawn are now being sold in pods. Each pod can have a maximum of 6 guests. You can purchase tickets now for a pod of 2-6 guests. There are currently a handful of pod tickets available.

Additionally, we have a limited number of sponsorship tables available. All tickets for lawn pods and sponsorships can be purchased here.

Flagstaff Arts Council — Viola Awards

Over the past 13 years we have gathered annually at the Viola Awards to honor and celebrate the accomplishments of our creative community from the previous year. The Flagstaff Arts Council is asking our community to come together and reflect on 2020, the pandemic, and our community through a Year in Review video. This video will premiere at the Viola Awards on Friday, June 18th. We all know that 2020 was a year filled with lots of challenges, loss, emotion, and moments of resiliency. Please share your reflections on the year 2020 by participating in this project.

This video will reflect on 2020 and look toward the future. Participants will answer at least 3 of the following questions:

Dear supporter of Creative Flagstaff,
I would like to invite you to join our upcoming Viola Awards Community Meeting on Wednesday, October 20th at the Coconino Center for the Arts. I hope you will be able to join us.

This round table meeting will brainstorm how to continue to evolve the Viola Awards, which will begin accepting nominations in late November for the 14th annual event. The strategic plan unveiled at this year’s event, in June, further prioritizes equity within Creative Flagstaff’s programs, to celebrate creativity in all its forms, and to continue to build recognition within and beyond Flagstaff. It is through these lenses and more that we hope to have a lively discussion about how the Viola Awards will serve our community for another 10+ years. …

While we welcome everyone to attend this meeting, please note that an RSVP is requested and can be done here. Additionally, in accordance with the Coconino Center for the Arts Covid policy, attendees must present either their vaccination card OR a negative covid test from within 72 hours of the event, and photo identification upon their arrival. 2020 is almost over! Though this has been an unpredictable year we know that our creative community stepped up to the plate. We are looking forward to celebrating the accomplishments of 2020 at The Viola Awards on Friday, June 18, 2021, but to do that we need to hear from you! The Viola Awards depend on nominations from our community. The deadline to submit your nominations in Thursday, December 31, 2020.

The Flagstaff Arts Council is happy to announce that the 13th Annual Viola Awards will take place on Friday, June 18, 2021. This new date provides the greatest opportunity to host an awards event in-person, likely outdoors. The Viola Awards, historically hosted in March, are a celebration of our creative community. After such a difficult year, it is important to celebrate the resiliency of our community in person, if it is safe to do so. Please mark your calendars!
