KNAU update for Dec. 6 — Happy Holidays from Classical KNAU

Monday starts one of our favorite Arizona Public Radio traditions: Special holiday programming in a world of genres. Storytelling, music and more. From the renaissance to R&B, we’ve got something especially for you.

For two weeks and more, leading up to Christmas Day, we’ll transform weeknight evenings into a winter wonderland of great radio. NPR’s “Tinsel Tales” (always a favorite) leads off Monday at seven followed at eight by early music from Anonymous 4. Wednesday night we’ll “Say Yes to Christmas” from This American Life. Thursday brings The Baroque Brass and we’ll wrap up the week Friday with “A Christmas Gift to You,” the story of one of pop music’s greatest contributions to holiday cheer.

Grand Canyon National Park officials say they’ve captured a bat that may have a fungus that leads to white-nose syndrome in the animals. The bat was caught and sampled for the fungus last April during routine surveillance by park biologists. Learn more at KNAU.org.
