The 2020 Census is Underway!
Each decade, our nation undertakes the extraordinary task of counting every person who lives in our country. The Decennial Census is fundamental to our democratic process, and critical for understanding our nation and its people. Its results determine our representation in federal, state, and local government, and influence the distribution of billions of dollars in federal funding. Those funds support dozens of agencies, programs, and services critical to the people of Northern Arizona. Getting a complete count ensures that our communities continue to receive these resources.
What You Can Do:
Help make sure that the U.S. Census Bureau gets a complete count of our community! Fill out the 2020 Census and make sure your family, friends, and neighbors get counted as well.
What You Need to Know:
- If you have a physical mailing address, you received your invitation to respond this spring. Please use the Unique Identifying Number (UIN) in your invitation to complete your Census today.
- Census Enumerators are out in our communities, delivering Census questionnaires to locations without physical mailing addresses. If you live at one of these addresses, you can return the questionnaire by mail, or use the Unique Identifying Number (UIN) provided to respond by internet or phone. If you already submitted the Census without a UIN, please re-submit your response using the UIN.
- Everyone must be counted by October 2020!
