In addition to a roundtable discussion on anti-Asian violence, in which several NAU professors participated, the HAPA Hawaiian Club’s 15th annual lū’au will be held virtually 6 p.m. on Saturday.

This designation from the U.S. Department of Education gives NAU greater access to grants and other funding to expand educational opportunities for, and improve the attainment of, Hispanic students.

Guy Lamunyon is working with health care providers and a nonprofit organization in the Verde Valley to vaccinate seniors, who are the highest-risk group for severe COVID-19 outcomes. He hopes to bring NAU students on board to help in the fall.
