Are you prepared to spend a night out in the woods even if you weren’t planning to? You’ll learn the five survival priorities when faced with an emergency.

On this walk we will visit Walker Lake which is within a volcanic cone on the south side of Kendrick Park. We’ll review historical photos of the area and discuss how landscapes have changed over time.
On this walk we will examine the native plants found in the vicinity of CCC’s Lone Tree campus, their pollinators, other forest insects, and discuss the local ecology.
