Fulfilling dreams and changing lives
Andrew Svabik took advantage of every opportunity he could at NAU—being part of the Honors College, representing the university with Model UN, study abroad, peer mentoring and more. Even when the pandemic scuttled opportunities he’d planned on, Svabik, who graduated in May with a degree in philosophy, politics and law with a minor in Japanese, looked around for the proverbial window that opens when the door closes. That commitment to success is now taking him to Cambodia for a yearlong teaching assistantship after winning a coveted position as a Fulbright Scholar.
