Adult & All-Ages Events
Paper Quilt Take-and-Make Kit. Celebrate the Coconino Quilters’ Guild bi-annual quilt show by designing your own paper quilt! Instructions and paper are provided. Kits are available at the Downtown Library Information Desk, February 15th through March 21st, while supplies last.
Lindy-Hop Dance Classes. At the Joe C. Montoya Community & Senior Center from 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM. Join us on Wednesdays for a 4-week crash course in Lindy-Hop at the Joe C. Montoya Center! Starting on February 28th until March 20th from 2 pm to 3:30 pm, the NAU Swing Jacks Dance Club will teach a 45-minute lesson followed by 45 minutes of social dancing. ALL welcome! No Partner Needed. Then join us on Friday, March 29th for a special dance social from 7 pm to 9 pm to practice all you have learned! Wednesdays February 28th & March 6th, 13th & 20th. Friday March 29th - Dance Social - 7pm to 9pm.
Book Clubs
Banned Book Club: Speak. Rescheduled to Tuesday February 27th from 6 to 7pm in the Downtown Library Community Room. Rape? Immorality? "Soft-pornography"? Join us to discuss the novel as well as the concepts of free speech and censorship as we encounter them today.
LGBT+ Book Club. March 11th at 6:30pm. Jonny Appleseed by Joshua Whitehead. East Library.
Thursday Night Book Club: Anxious People by Fredrik Backman. March 14th at 6pm. April 11 @6pm Dinosaurs: A Novel. May 9th at 6pm TBA. Pick up a copy of the book at the Downtown Information Desk. Meet in the downtown community room or online via zoom!
Senior Book Club at the Joe C. Montoya Community & Senior Center. March 18th at 1pm. 3rd Monday of every month. Our Missing Hearts by Celeste Ng. Upcoming: Trust by Hernan Diaz on April 15th.
Youth Events
LEGO Club. Mondays 3:45 to 4:45pm. January 8 and 22, February 12 and 26. Ages 5+. We bring the LEGO! You bring the imagination! Flagstaff Downtown Library.
Winter 2024 Storytimes at the Flagstaff Downtown Library. BABY LAP TIME: January 9 - March 5 Tuesdays @ 9:15 am. TODDLER TALES: Jan 9 - March 7 Tuesdays @ 10:00 am & Thursdays @ 9:15 am. PRESCHOOL EXPRESS: Jan 10 - March 7 Wed & Thurs @ 10:00 am. SATURDAY STORY STOP: Year-round @ 10:30 am.
Crafty Corner. Express your creativity at the East Flagstaff Community Library! Tuesdays, January 16th through March 5th from 3:30 to 4:30pm. Ages 3+.
Family Storytime 2024. Wednesdays January 17 through March 6 from 10:30 to 11:15am at the East Flagstaff Community Library.
Game Day. Video games & tabletop games. Ages 8-17. Wednesdays January 17 through March 6 from 2:30 to 4pm. At the East Flagstaff Public Library.
Creation Station. Stories & crafts. Winter 2024 Wednesdays January 10th and 24th, February 14th and 28th, and March 10th at 3:30pm. Ages 3 & up.
Teen Movie Day at the East Flagstaff Community Library. Thursdays 1/18, 2/01, 2/15, and 2/29 at 2:45pm. February 29th is Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves.
Game Time, Hang Time. Ages 8 to 18. Come chill. Switch, PS4, and board games. Free snacks. 1 to 2pm on January 12th & 26th, February 9th & 23rd, and March 1st. Downtown Library Community Room.
Technology Help
Free Technology Instruction and Resume Help. 30-minute,one-on-one instruction sessions available for help with introductory software, creating email accounts, downloading eBooks, résumé development, online job applications, and more. Click here to see available dates. Registration is required for all sessions.
