Call to Artists: Switzer Canyon Roundabout 3D Artwork

The City of Flagstaff seeks Statements of Qualifications (SOQs) for an artist to work with a design team to create a landmark 3D artwork within a roundabout at the intersection of N. Switzer Canyon Drive and N. Turquoise Drive. Direction for the public art is to successfully contextualize the 3D artwork within a hardscape that accommodates traffic safety signage and sightlines; to create a site specific icon that can be appreciated by drive-by traffic; to determine the 3D artwork through engaging with the community; to research the site location and artistic inspiration; to create, fabricate and install 3D artwork within budget; and to create a 3D artwork that is durable to the elements, requires minimal maintenance, meets safety requirements, and deters graffiti.

Call to Artists: Grand Canyon Conservancy Artists in Residence

The Grand Canyon Conservancy seeks inspiring and resourceful artists who create contemporary, interactive, immersive, and/or social practice artworks that aim to make positive environmental and cultural change through their work. The organization is dedicated to representing voices from all backgrounds, especially those who have been historically underrepresented, and is interested in supporting artists who focus on: Climate Resiliency, Environmental Sciences, Natural & Cultural Histories, Historical Interpretation & Preservation, and Site-Specific Themes.

Join CCA’s Artist Registry

The Coconino Center for the Arts (CCA) invites artists and creatives living in Coconino County to join a new publicly accessible Artist Registry. This free online resource is designed to showcase the talents of visual artists, performers, writers and artisans while fostering connections across the local creative community. The registry serves as both a resource and networking tool for artists, venues, and organizations, and will be updated on a quarterly basis.
