FSO’s Season 76 opens with Lalo’s dramatic Overture to Le roi d’Ys, a rarely performed French gem. Steven Moeckel then takes center stage for Tchaikovsky’s dazzling and emotional Violin Concerto in D major. Janáček’s powerful Sinfonietta, composed for an enormous brass section and full orchestra, delivers a radiant, triumphant finale.

Two masterpieces of Romantic intensity. Pianist Fanya Lin triumphs in Rachmaninoff’s formidable and virtuosic third piano concerto—regarded as one of the most difficult works in the repertoire. The program closes with Brahms’s first symphony, a long-awaited answer to Beethoven, bursting with passion and grandeur.

A beloved holiday tradition. Join us for a magical journey through Clara’s dreamscape in Tchaikovsky’s The Nutcracker, brought to life by the dancers of NAU’s Community Dance Academy and the full forces of Flagstaff Symphony Orchestra.

An out-of-this-world evening, featuring unforgettable themes from Star Wars, Star Trek, E.T., 2001: A Space Odyssey, and more. With dazzling strings, big brass, and epic storytelling, this concert will thrill sci-fi movie fans of all ages.

Two monumental choral works fill FSO’s Season 76 finale with color and spirit. Poulenc’s Gloria bursts with joy, reverence, and unexpected humor. John Adams’s Harmonium fuses minimalist rhythms with lush harmonies and the poetry of John Donne and Emily Dickinson in a thrilling tour de force.

Join us on July 4 for our annual free A Flag Fourth concert at Pepsi Amphitheater, featuring patriotic tunes and classic favorites. Doors open at 2:00 PM. Concert begins at 3:00 PM.
