United Way of Northern Arizona is working with its agency and government partners in response to the wildfires at the Grand Canyon, which have impacted hundreds of individuals who live and work along the North Rim.
Contributions to UWNA’s Crisis Response Fund can be made HERE and will go towards helping those displaced by the blaze, which has closed the North Rim for the rest of the season. You can also text UWNAZRESPONSE to 41444 to give.
“Responding to emergencies like the Grand Canyon wildfires is exactly why we created this special fund,” said UWNA President & CEO Liz Archuleta. “It allows us to respond quickly to help those most in need and keeps our communities resilient in times of crisis.”
Donations are tax deductible. In addition to helping residents, the fund will also help the community by directing resources into the local economy during the recovery effort.
As of today, the Dragon Bravo fire is still at 0% containment and the White Sage fire is at 17% containment. Conditions are expected to get worse over the weekend as the weather gets hotter and drier.
Your support can make an immediate and lasting impact. Please give today and help the Grand Canyon community recover, rebuild, and remain resilient. |
