Creative Flagstaff is pleased to announce the opening of applications for the 2026 Arts & Science Project Grant Program. With $125,000 available for funding, these grants are designed to empower and expand the creative, scientific, and cultural landscape of the Flagstaff community!
Arts & Science Project Grants are available to non-profit ORGANIZATIONS or INDIVIDUALS with a non-profit fiscal agent for INNOVATION:
⋅ Introduce a new program or experience; or support an ongoing program or experience, with expanded reach; that engages and enriches the Flagstaff community.
OR
Non-profit ORGANIZATIONS seeking to build operational resources in art, science, and culture in Flagstaff, with a project dedicated to CAPACITY BUILDING:
⋅ Producing, presenting, teaching, or serving art, science, or culture to the public
⋅ Tangible assets or professional development
⋅ Cultural equity, preservation, or awareness

Arts & Science Grants are made possible by the City of Flagstaff’s Bed, Board, and Beverage (BBB) tax revenues, which directly support the arts and sciences in Flagstaff.

Join Coconino Center for the Arts’ County-wide Artist Registry
Coconino Center for the Arts (CCA) invites artists and creatives to share their work in a publicly accessible artist registry open to artists residing in Coconino County. CCA strives to connect and strengthen communities through increased access to and engagement in the arts. The registry is a resource and networking opportunity for Visual Artists, Performing Artists, Literary Artists, and Artisans to share their work and expertise in a free online registry accessible to other artists, venues, and organizations, housed on CCA’s website.

ARTx 2026 Applications Now Open
Creative Flagstaff is thrilled to announce that ARTx: Art + Ideas Experience is back for 2026 — and we’re once again offering funding to bring bold, creative ideas to life in Flagstaff! Thanks to $125,000 from the City of Flagstaff’s Bed, Board, and Beverage tax revenue, this marks the 4th year of funding for artists through ARTx.
The 2026 biennial event will light up Flagstaff May 1–3, 2026 with a multi-day celebration of performances, exhibitions, installations, activations, conversations, and community gatherings — plus additional ARTx moments all year long during First Friday ArtWalks.
We’re looking for individual artists, creative collaborations, and organizations ready to dream big. Whether your work thrives on the street, in a gallery, outdoors, or in unexpected places, ARTx has a space for you.

Beautification in Action Grants
The City of Flagstaff offers a mini-grant program for streetscape art and beautification, such as landscape projects. Grants of up to $8,000 are available. Applications will be accepted on bi-annual deadlines, March 15 and September 15 at 5 pm.

Temporary 3D Illusion Street Art/Route 66 Centennial Celebration
In celebration of the Route 66 Centennial on June 6, 2026, the City of Flagstaff seeks proposals for temporary street art (in chalk or tempera paint) that manipulate perspective to create interactive, 3D illusions and/or offer unique opportunities for pedestrians to engage with the art and take memorable photographs. The finished street art will be allowed to naturally deteriorate or be power washed away at the end of the Celebration. Selected artists will be paid up to $7,000.

Artist Opportunity Grants support Arizona artists as they take advantage of specific, unique opportunities that have the potential to significantly impact their professional growth. As this grant is available to artists working in all disciplines and at any stage in their career, a wide array of opportunities could be considered eligible.
