Creative Flagstaff is proud to announce the 18th Annual Viola Awards, returning on Saturday, April 25, 2026 at the Orpheum Theater in downtown Flagstaff. This year’s theme, Homecoming: Look How Far We’ve Come, honors the legacy of the Violas while celebrating the people, stories, and achievements that have shaped our creative community over the years.
Often called the “Oscars of Flagstaff,” the Viola Awards are the premier celebration of excellence in the arts, sciences, and culture in Northern Arizona. Each year hundreds gather for an unforgettable evening of recognition, performances, and community spirit. Founded in 2009 to honor Viola Babbitt—a champion for Flagstaff’s cultural life—the awards continue to highlight the innovation and passion that define our region.
Award categories include Excellence in Collaboration, Excellence in Education, Excellence in Music, Excellence in Performing Arts, Excellence in Storytelling, Excellence in Visual Arts, Community Impact Individual, Community Impact Organization, Emerging Artist, and Local Artisan.
