The year is already alive with music at Flagstaff Symphony Orchestra, and this weekend, we bring that energy to a new space in town. Join us Saturday, February 28 at 3:00 PM for our second Max Jerrell Community Concert of the season at Shepherd of the Hills Church (1601 N. San Francisco St.).

FSO musicians and friends perform Dohnányi’s Serenade for Strings and Schumann’s Piano Quartet in E-flat Major, two masterful works of drama and intimacy.

January & February Highlights

The new year opened with two unforgettable performances showcasing the breadth and spirit of Flagstaff Symphony Orchestra.

January’s Symphonic Sci-Fi welcomed a record audience to Ardrey Auditorium for an evening filled with laughter, nostalgia, and cinematic magic. From Maestro Latshaw’s much-loved humor to the special appearance of Duane Koyawena’s Hopi R2, the concert sparked smiles across the hall and celebrated the film music that shaped generations.

In February, Indulge: Symphonic Flavors offered a striking contrast, drawing the audience and orchestra closer together through immersive on-stage seating, chocolate pairings from Grand Canyon Chocolate, and captivating performances from Shane Werts and the orchestra

Save the Date for Our Season Finale

Mark your calendar for April 17 at 7:30 PM for our season finale, Light Unbound. Flagstaff Symphony Orchestra is joined by soprano Christine Graham, NAU’s Shrine of the Ages Choir, and Master Chorale of Flagstaff for two monumental choral works filled with color and spirit.

Poulenc’s Gloria bursts with joy, reverence, and unexpected humor. John Adams’s Harmonium fuses minimalist rhythms with lush harmonies and the poetry of John Donne and Emily Dickinson in a thrilling tour de force—a fitting end to FSO’s 76th season.
