Connecting the classroom to the field

Students in the NAU Global Health Field School program traveled to Peru and Malawi to put their coursework to use real-world settings and work on public health interventions aimed at addressing health disparities in underserved communities. The goal was to provide an immersive academic program that prepares students to understand global health systems and connect with patients in unfamiliar environments.

How NAU is making grad school more affordable

Building on the success of the Western Undergraduate Exchange program, which offers out-of-state students from select states and territories a significant discount on tuition, NAU is now making similar moves for grad students with more than 60 in-person eligible programs.

Once a month, a small group gathers in the Liberal Arts building to talk about something rarely discussed in meetings: kindness. Inspired by the teaching philosophy of Mister Rogers, they explore what it means to be a good neighbor and whether those quiet lessons still matter in today’s world.
