NAU in Denmark: Learning by design

Can design change lives for the better? This summer, a group of students embarked on a journey to learn how Scandinavian design is shaping more equitable, sustainable and collaborative societies.

NAU students recognized by Udall Foundation

Chamryn Carl was selected as a Udall Scholar, while Ke’Andre David was one of 12 Udall Interns representing eight tribes. The foundation supports students who are committed to careers related to the environment, Tribal public policy or Native American health care.

With Fulbright, forestry professor heads to Sweden

Kristen Waring will spend a year at the Swedish Forest Research Institute’s office in Svalöv, helping assess Sweden’s success in regenerating drought- and fire-stricken forests by planting seedlings. She’ll use those findings to improve regeneration in Arizona’s ponderosa pine forests.
