Discover a contemporary approach to china painting in this hands-on workshop exploring image, pattern, and ornament on fired ceramic surfaces. Through demonstrations and guided studio work, you’ll learn brushwork, pigment application, material preparation, and firing techniques while developing imagery that responds to form and surface. Designed for artists of all levels, all materials are included, and each student will take home a personal materials kit to continue their practice.

Create your own ceramic ornaments for the holiday season in this fun, hands-on workshop for all experience levels. Bring favorite cookie cutters or design your own shapes while exploring handbuilding techniques with clay and the slab roller. The first session focuses on creating your pieces, and the second on glazing them. Each student will complete approximately 4–5 ornaments. Clay, materials, and firings are included.
