COCONINO COUNTY — The first results from the Nov. 3 General Election was posted at 8 p.m. on election night, and updates will continue in the days to follow. The Coconino County Elections Department has released its schedule to help voters understand the tabulation process. Results will be available at coconino.az.gov/vote and will remain unofficial until the Board of Supervisors canvasses the election on Nov. 17.
Results schedule:
- 8 p.m. First Batch of Results: Includes early ballots received before Election Day.
- About 9 p.m. – 5 a.m. Election Night: Ballots cast at voting locations on Election Day.
- Daily until completion: Early ballots dropped off on Election Day, plus Provisional/Conditional ballots, which needed extra verification before they can be counted. Voters have until Nov. 8 at 5 p.m. to fix, or “cure,” any issues.
The schedule may change based on the number of ballots cast on Election Day.
“We know voters want results quickly, and we have a duty to count every eligible ballot,” Coconino County Elections Director Eslir Musta said. “Arizona law requires verification of every signature on early ballots and gives voters five days to fix any issues, so counting continues after Election Day. We will update results regularly so the public can follow along. Results that change after election night mean the process is working as intended.”
