Call to Artists: The Face of Time

Sedona Arts Center invites artists to explore the emotional and visual power of portraiture through the lens of time. This juried exhibition showcases artworks that reflect transformation, memory, and the human (or animal) face as a witness to aging, identity, and experience. Whether literal or metaphorical, traditional portrait or experimental abstraction, artists are encouraged to think expansively and creatively about how faces appear, what they reveal, and what they conceal.

The selected artist will develop work that reflects themes of education, imagination, and community connection, while responding to the site’s architectural design and neighborhood context. The artwork must be constructed with materials appropriate for long-term exposure to the Sonoran Desert climate and securely installed. Open to all artists worldwide.
