FLAGSTAFF — The Coconino Coalition for Children & Youth will hold its next monthly board meeting from noon to 1:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 24 at the County Health and Community Services Building, 2625 N. King St., Ponderosa Room, Flagstaff.
Shayne Smith is currently the Director of Theater Arts and Bands at Flagstaff High School. Shayne graduated with his Bachelor’s of Music from Ashland University in 2016 where he studied K-12 Music Education. He moved to Flagstaff in 2016 to begin teaching at Flagstaff High School in the Fall. As a Performing Arts Educator, Shayne strives to provide a safe space for his students to express their trust thought, feelings, and selves through several art mediums in an accepting, encouraging, and loving learning environment.
1,850 signs, one for each Arizona public school classroom without a certified teacher, greeted teachers and education advocates who came to Wesley Bolin Plaza at the state capitol to kick off Invest in Ed. A ballot initiative, supporters say will raise $940 million a year for K-12 classrooms.
