COCONINO COUNTY — Coconino County joined election offices nationwide recognizing National Poll Worker Recruitment Day on Tuesday, August 11.This National Day of Action established by the U.S. Election Assistance Commission, shines the spotlight on the critical need for community members to serve as poll workers and support free, fair and accessible elections.
To honor the day and service of election poll workers the Coconino County Board of Supervisors issued a proclamation at their regular board meeting on August 11. Coconino County Elections Department encourages residents across all communities and districts to learn more about how they can contribute to the electoral process by becoming part of the election team.
“Poll workers are the foundation of elections,” District 1 Supervisor and Board Chair Patrice Horstman said. “Every election relies on dedicated neighbors stepping up to ensure ballot integrity, assist voters and keep polling locations running smoothly. This proclamation honors their commitment while inviting new voices to join us serving the voters in our county.”
