Coconino County Workforce Development Board seeking new member

FLAGSTAFF — The Coconino County Workforce Development Board (CCWDB) is urgently seeking qualified business leaders to apply to fill a board vacancy.

The CCWDB brings together community business partners to enhance the capacity and performance of the workforce system and promote economic growth throughout Coconino County.

The board encompasses several cities and towns, including Flagstaff, Fredonia, Page, Sedona, Tusayan and Williams, as well as surrounding Native American communities. Meetings are held virtually and in-person every two months.

“The Workforce Development Board plays a vital role in connecting workforce partners so residents can access meaningful career opportunities,” Workforce Development Director Eilise Fisher said. “We encourage business leaders to apply and help shape a stronger local workforce system.”

Applicants must have hiring authority or optimum policy making authority, ideally from an in-demand sector, such as manufacturing, healthcare or social assistance, management of companies or enterprises, professional or technical services, or hospitality and tourism, to fill this role.
