Economic Collaborative of Northern Arizona (ECoNA) — Introducing Our Executive Committee

Good morning,

For an organization like ECoNA, having a strong Executive Committee with a wide breadth of experience and a passion for our region’s economic future is absolutely critical.

Which is why I’m so honored to announce our recently elected Executive Committee. Its members come from both the public and private sectors, and together they have decades of experience in health care, education, tourism, and community development.

Heidi Hansen (Chair) has more than 30 years of marketing and advertising experience and currently is the Economic Vitality Director for the City of Flagstaff, overseeing the city’s airport, economic development, beautification, arts and science, tourism and visitor services, and the City/County library district.

Michael Penca (Vice Chair) has been the Superintendent of the Flagstaff Unified School District for almost a decade, overseeing 15 school sites that serve more than 8,500 students.

Miranda Fisher (Secretary) has worked in local government for 7 years with a decade of leadership experience in health and human services prior to that. For the past two years, she’s served as Town Manager of Camp Verde, spearheading economic development initiatives to promote both sustainability and growth.

Bo Cofield (Treasurer), the Chief Operating Officer of Northern Arizona Healthcare, has led healthcare operations, strategic planning, master facility planning and governance in his 20+ years in the healthcare sector.

Joshua Maher (Past Chair) is the Associate Vice President, Office of Government Affairs and Community Relations at Northern Arizona University. He will continue to provide strategic leadership for ECoNA with a focus on workforce development and public-private partnerships.

We are so grateful for the depth of experience that our Executive Committee brings to ECoNA and their commitment to ensuring that northern Arizona continues to enjoy a thriving economy.
