Latest Update: Light rain showers and moisture could potentially aid firefighting efforts along the North Rim of Grand Canyon National Park on the Dragon Bravo Fire. Fire activity is expected to persist as gusty southwest winds drive the fire through vegetation.

Ongoing & Planned Operations: Firefighters plan to build fireline along Forest Road 610 on the northeastern side of the fire.

Crews are establishing contingency containment lines where the Grand Canyon meets the southern and eastern edges of the fire.

Firefighters are removing downed trees and establishing dozer lines around surrounding structures and containment lines in the fire area. Fire managers plan to use aircraft to assess fire behavior and fuel loading tomorrow. Crews will finish contingency preparation work on the Kaibab Lodge and other values at risk along Grand Canyon Highway (state Route 67).

Weather & Smoke: Light showers and moisture are expected early this week, before weather shifts into a dry period beginning

Wednesday. Smoke will remain visible from surrounding areas, including the South Rim of the Grand Canyon. Residents and
