Flagstaff celebrates third annual Day of the Dead procession

FLAGSTAFF — The community honored Day of the Dead / Día de los Muertos with a procession in downtown Flagstaff to the Shrine at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church on Nov. 2, 2015.

The Arizona Daily Sun estimated that nearly 200 people took part in the procession from Whyld Ass Coffee House to the church.

The event included placing items on the community alter / ofrenda at the coffee house, face painting, the making of paper flowers, music and other activities.

The event was directed by artist Emma Gardner, who lead the procession.
