Adult & All-Ages Events
Paper Quilt Take-and-Make Kit. Celebrate the Coconino Quilters’ Guild bi-annual quilt show by designing your own paper quilt! Instructions and paper are provided. Kits are available at the Downtown Library Information Desk, February 15th through March 21st, while supplies last.
Beginner Technology Classes. Join us for a beginners series to learn everything you need to know to use a personal computer or technology at the library. All technology is provided for computer-based classes. Seats are limited and registration is required. Resume Basics on Tuesday, April 2; Internet Basics on Tuesday, April 16; Email Basics on Tuesday, May 7; Cyber Security Basics on Tuesday, June 4; Computer Basics on Tuesday, March 5; Smart Phone Basics on Tuesday, March 12. Senior Coffee Hour. March 13th at 10am. Downtown Library Northwest Corner. Coffee and snacks provided! For older adults 55+. This month we will learn about the Museum of Northern Arizona’s programs and volunteer opportunities from Mari Soliday-Larsen!
Lindy-Hop Dance Classes. At the Joe C. Montoya Community & Senior Center from 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM. Join us on Wednesdays for a 4-week crash course in Lindy-Hop at the Joe C. Montoya Center! Starting on February 28th until March 20th from 2 pm to 3:30 pm, the NAU Swing Jacks Dance Club will teach a 45-minute lesson followed by 45 minutes of social dancing. ALL welcome! No Partner Needed. Then join us on Friday, March 29th for a special dance social from 7 pm to 9 pm to practice all you have learned! Wednesdays February 28th & March 6th, 13th & 20th. Friday March 29th - Dance Social - 7pm to 9pm.
Arizona Author Series Watch Party. Natalie Koch: Arid Empire: The Entangled Fates of Arizona and Arabia. Join us for the 2024 Arizona Author Series, live on Zoom. Each author’s talk will be followed by time for audience questions. March 14th, 12 to 1pm in the Downtown Library Community Room. This program is supported by the Arizona State Library, Archives & Public Records, a division of the Secretary of State, with federal funds from the Institute of Museum and Library Services.

LGBT+ Book Club. March 11th at 6:30pm. Jonny Appleseed by Joshua Whitehead. East Library.
Thursday Night Book Club: Anxious People by Fredrik Backman. March 14th at 6pm. April 11 @6pm Dinosaurs: A Novel. May 9th at 6pm TBA. Pick up a copy of the book at the Downtown Information Desk. Meet in the downtown community room or online via zoom!
Senior Book Club at the Joe C. Montoya Community & Senior Center. March 18th at 1pm. 3rd Monday of every month. Our Missing Hearts by Celeste Ng. Upcoming: Trust by Hernan Diaz on April 15th.
Southwest Reads Book Club. Brave the Wild River by March 27th. Coming soon: May 22nd Mesa of Sorrows and July 24th Black Gun, Silver Star. th Wednesday of every other month at 6pm. Downtown Community Room.
Youth Events
Get ready for movie day! Super Mario Bros. Movie. Monday, March 11 2024. Starts at 1:30pm.
Teen Minute to Win It! Ages 12+. Play fun games and & win prizes! What can you do in just one minute? Tuesday, March 12th at 11am.
Flower Power Spring Break Creation Station. March 13th at 3:30pm. Come make some cool flower crafts and take home a real flower.
Build a house for mason bees! To keep these buzzing buddies happy, give them a cozy home sweet home. Understand their preferences and create a bee-tiful space for them to nest in your garden. Thursday, March 14, 2024, from 2 to 3:30pm. Flagstaff Public Library, 300 W. Aspen St. Flagstaff, AZ. Ages 8+. Registration required.
Family Fort Night. Come to the Downtown Library and join library staff for an after-hours program building forts and playing a game of family hide-and-seek! Registration required (click image). Friday, March 15th at 6:30pm. Games! Snacks! Bring your own pillows & blankets! Ages 5 and up. All children must be accompanied by an adult.
Spring 2024 Storytimes at the Flagstaff Downtown Library. Saturday Story Stop. Year-round at 10:30am. Come to a fun-filled morning of storytime for ALL ages.
Technology Help
Free Technology Instruction and Resume Help. 30-minute,one-on-one instruction sessions available for help with introductory software, creating email accounts, downloading eBooks, résumé development, online job applications, and more. Click here to see available dates. Registration is required for all sessions.
