Adult & All-Ages Events
Origami Tulips Take-and-Make Kit. Welcome spring by creating your own origami tulip bouquet! Instructions and paper are provided. Kits available at the Downtown Library Information Desk, March 22nd-April 21st, while supplies last.
“Yes And...” Improv for Writers. Presented by Matthew Henry Hall. Volunteers will get a chance to do basic improv warm-ups and two-person scenes while discussing the benefits of these activities for writers. Participation in the improve exercises is not required. Tuesday, Mar. 26th, 6 to 7pm in the Downtown Library Community Room.
Lindy-Hop Dance Social at the Joe C. Montoya Community & Senior Center. Free! Come dance and practice all you have learned the last 4 weeks. Dress up if you want for a fun night of dancing, but it is not necessary. Wear clothes and shoes you are comfortable dancing in. A water bottle is also recommended. ALL welcome! No Partner Needed. Friday, March 29th from 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM.
Book Clubs
Southwest Reads Book Club. Brave the Wild River by March 27th. Coming soon: May 22nd Mesa of Sorrows and July 24th Black Gun, Silver Star. th Wednesday of every other month at 6pm. Downtown Community Room.
Poetry Book Club. Join us for the first gathering of the library’s poetry book club. Stick around (if interested) for some writing exercises afterwards! April 10 at 5:30PM Postcolonial Love Poem by Natalie Diaz. Pick up a copy of the book at the Downtown Information Desk and meet in the Downtown Community Room! Natalie Diaz will read at the Northern Arizona Book Festival on April 12. Free admission! For more info on the fest, use the QR Code.
Thursday Night Book Club: Dinosaurs: A Novel by Lydia Millet. April 11th at 6pm. May 9th at 6pm The Man Who Could Move Clouds. June 13th at 6pm The Undocumented Americans. Pick up a copy of the book at the Downtown Information Desk. Meet in the downtown community room or online via zoom!
Senior Book Club at the Joe C. Montoya Community & Senior Center. April 15th at 1pm. 3rd Monday of every month. Trust by Hernan Diaz. Upcoming: The Other Einstein by Marie Benedict.
Banned Book Club: Animal Farm. Tuesday May 7th, from 6 to 7pm in the Downtown Library Community Room. “All animals are equal, but some animals are more equal than others.” Join us to discuss the novel as well as the concepts of free speech and censorship as we encounter them today.
LGBT+ Book Club. May 13th at 6:30pm. An Unkindness of Ghosts by Rivers Solomon. East Library.
Youth Events
LEGO Club. Mondays 3:45 to 4:45pm. March 25th, April 8th and 22nd, and May 6th. Ages 5+. We bring the LEGO! You bring the imagination! Flagstaff Downtown Library.
Spring 2024 Storytimes at the Flagstaff Downtown Library. Baby Lap Time March 26 to May 7 Tuesdays at 9:15. Toddler Tales March 26 to May 9 Tuesdays at 10am & Thursdays at 9:15am. Preschool Express March 27 to May 9 Wednesdays and Thursdays at 10am. Saturday Story Stop year-round at 10:30am for all ages.
Family Storytime 2024. Wednesdays March 27 to May 8 from 10:30 to 11:15am at the East Flagstaff Community Library.
Crafty Corner. Express your creativity at the East Flagstaff Community Library! Tuesdays, March 26 to May 7, 2024 from 3:30 to 4:30pm. Ages 3+.
Game Day. Video games & tabletop games. Ages 8-17. Wednesdays March 20 through May 8 from 2:30 to 4pm. At the East Flagstaff Public Library.
Creation Station. Stories & crafts. Winter 2024 Wednesdays March 27, April 10 & 24, and May 8 at 3:30pm. Ages 3 & up.
Let's build solar eclipse viewers! Join us to learn about the upcoming solar eclipses and how to safely view them! March 28th, 2023, at 3:45pm in the Downtown Community Room. Bring a cereal or show box for every viewer you want to build!

Free Technology Instruction and Resume Help. 30-minute,one-on-one instruction sessions available for help with introductory software, creating email accounts, downloading eBooks, résumé development, online job applications, and more.
