Adult & All-Ages Events

A gritty, art-inspired flyer for a Movie & Discussion event featuring Exit Through the Gift Shop, a Banksy film. The event takes place on June 17th from 5:30 to 7:45 PM at the Downtown Library. The flyer explains that the documentary follows a Frenchman attempting to film Banksy and his associates, but ultimately becomes about him when Banksy turns the camera around. The movie is Rated R for Language. The design features bold, spray-painted-style red text, a black-and-white stencil-style rat with a star, and graffiti-inspired visuals.
A playful, notebook-themed flyer for “Wily Writers,” a weekly writing group held every Wednesday at 5:30 PM in the Northwest Corner of the Downtown Library. The flyer invites participants to make writing a habit through prompts, timed writing sessions, and group sharing. It emphasizes community, creativity, and support among writers. Hand-drawn illustrations of a pen, notebook, and light bulb enhance the creative vibe, and a note in blue reads “NEW START TIME!!!!” to highlight the updated schedule.
A scenic flyer for a “Meet Us at the Trailhead” hike at Skunk Canyon, scheduled for Saturday, June 21st at 9:00 AM. The hike is 2–3 miles through a limestone-lined canyon that connects to Walnut National Monument. Directions from Flagstaff suggest taking Lake Mary Road about 0.5 miles past JW Powell Blvd, then turning left into the parking area. Book Clubs
A flyer for the Senior Book Club at the Joe C. Montoya Community & Senior Center. The featured book for June is Wrong Place, Wrong Time by Gillian McAllister, with the meeting on June 16th at 1:00 PM. The club meets on the third Monday of every month. A fun and colorful flyer for the 2025 Summer Reading Challenge “Kid Book Club” for ages 8 and up. The club meets in the Community Room at the Downtown Library. Youth Events

Bouncing Babies takes place June 20 and July 18 at 10:30 AM and features interactive songs and movement for babies. Toddler Tales runs June 17 and July 22 on Tuesdays at 10:30 AM, with stories, songs, and fun for toddlers. Preschool Express runs June 26 through July 24 on Thursdays at 10:30 AM and includes stories, songs, and surprise activities for preschoolers. Saturday Story Stop happens year-round at 10:30 AM and offers stories and fun for the whole family. A small red fire truck graphic notes a special visit on July 13.

A colorful and creative flyer for the “Color Our World Youth Art Showcase,” part of the 2025 Summer Reading Challenge. Aimed at ages 5–16, the flyer invites young artists to submit their work at the Downtown Library Youth Services desk between June 1st and 18th. The submitted artwork will be featured in an after-hours gallery-style show on Saturday, June 21st at 6:00 PM, and will remain on display through the end of summer. The design includes art-themed graphics like a paint palette, brush, and an illustration of a child painting on an easel, all in a vibrant, fun layout.
