A playful, notebook-themed flyer for “Wily Writers,” a weekly writing group held every Wednesday at 5:30 PM in the Northwest Corner of the Downtown Library. The flyer invites participants to make writing a habit through prompts, timed writing sessions, and group sharing. It emphasizes community, creativity, and support among writers. Hand-drawn illustrations of a pen, notebook, and light bulb enhance the creative vibe, and a note in blue reads “NEW START TIME!!!!” to highlight the updated schedule.
Promotional flyer for “Charcoal Still Life,” a drawing workshop hosted by Coconino County Library. The event is on Wednesday, June 25 from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. Participants will explore charcoal techniques using traditional and white charcoal, sanguine, and toned papers. A setup is provided, and all materials are included. Space is limited; registration is required. Three charcoal drawings are displayed: a pair of hands, a skull, and a still life with bottles. Flyer for a recurring library program called “The Knitting Hour,” hosted in collaboration with the Fiber Artists of Northern Arizona (FANA). The event offers knitting help from guild members and welcomes all skill levels. It takes place on the second and fourth Friday of each month from 1:00pm to 3:00pm at the Downtown Library Northwest Fireplace. Book Clubs
A fun and colorful flyer for the 2025 Summer Reading Challenge “Kid Book Club” for ages 8 and up. The club meets in the Community Room at the Downtown Library. Featured books are The Cartoonists Club (meeting Thursday, June 26th at 4:00 PM, books available starting June 5th) and The Mona Lisa Is Missing (meeting Thursday, July 24th at 4:00 PM, books available starting July 3rd). The flyer encourages kids to attend one or both sessions. Book cover images and stacks of books add to the playful, engaging design. Contact information for registration is included at the bottom.
Flyer for the Banned Book Club discussion of Maus. The event takes place on Tuesday, July 1st, from 6:00 to 7:00pm at the Downtown Library Community Room. The flyer features the cover of The Complete Maus by Art Spiegelman, which shows two mice in concentration camp uniforms with a large cat-shaped swastika behind them. The flyer asks: “Profanity? Nudity? Dehumanization?” and invites readers to “join us to discuss the graphic novel as well as the concepts of free speech and censorship as we encounter them today.” The background is black with red and white text and includes a “Banned Book Club” logo with the word “book” crossed out.
Youth Events
A colorful flyer titled “Storytimes” with the theme “Color Our World / Colorea Nuestro Mundo,” decorated with a sun, rainbow, butterfly, and playful graphics. Bouncing Babies takes place June 20 and July 18 at 10:30 AM and features interactive songs and movement for babies. Toddler Tales runs June 17 and July 22 on Tuesdays at 10:30 AM, with stories, songs, and fun for toddlers. Preschool Express runs June 26 through July 24 on Thursdays at 10:30 AM and includes stories, songs, and surprise activities for preschoolers. Saturday Story Stop happens year-round at 10:30 AM and offers stories and fun for the whole family. A small red fire truck graphic notes a special visit on July 13.

The program takes place on Monday, June 23rd at 1:30 PM and is open to ages 5–18. Participants will create biodegradable seed paper that grows flowers when planted. Flyer for the 2025 “Paws to Read” program, part of the “Color Our World” summer reading campaign at the Flagstaff City–Coconino County Public Library. The program invites children to sign up to read to a real therapy dog. It runs from June 11th to July 23rd, with Monday sessions from 2:00–4:00 PM and Wednesday sessions from 1:00–3:00 PM, in 20-minute time slots. Sign-up is in person at Youth Services, and the program is intended for kids reading independently. Participants join library staff for a short storytime followed by ice skating. Open to ages 5 and up (under 10 must be accompanied by an adult). Dates are Tuesday, June 24th (registration opens June 10) and Tuesday, July 15th (registration opens July 1), from 4:00 to 5:30 PM. Storytime is held under the community ramada at Bushmaster Park, near the east entrance. Flyer for a Preschool Dance Class hosted as part of the Summer Reading Challenge 2025 with the “Color Our World” theme. Flyer for the “Colorful Creations Craft Series,” part of the Summer Reading Challenge 2025. The program is held on Wednesdays at 1:30 PM for ages 7–18. Each session features a different craft: June 18 – Painted CD Spinners, June 25 – Friendship Bracelets, July 2 – Woven Bookmarks, and July 9 – Decoupage Keepsake Boxes. Registration opens two weeks before each program. The flyer includes colorful images of the crafts, a paintbrush illustration, a rainbow, and a note that participants can click the image to register.

Flyer for Game Day at East Flagstaff Community Library, part of the 2025 “Color Our World” Summer Reading Challenge. The program is for ages 12–18 and takes place on Saturday, June 28th at 1:30 PM. The flyer features a rainbow border, an image of a bead kit, and an illustration of hands stringing a beaded bracelet.
