Adult & All-Ages Events

A playful, notebook-themed flyer for “Wily Writers,” a weekly writing group held every Wednesday at 5:30 PM in the Northwest Corner of the Downtown Library. Book Clubs
Flyer for the LGBT+ Book Club meeting on July 14th at 6:30 p.m. at the East Library. The featured book is Legends & Lattes by Travis Baldree, with the book cover pictured. Youth Events
A colorful flyer titled “Storytimes” with the theme “Color Our World / Colorea Nuestro Mundo,” decorated with a sun, rainbow, butterfly, and playful graphics. Bouncing Babies takes place June 20 and July 18 at 10:30 AM and features interactive songs and movement for babies. Toddler Tales runs June 17 and July 22 on Tuesdays at 10:30 AM, with stories, songs, and fun for toddlers. Preschool Express runs June 26 through July 24 on Thursdays at 10:30 AM and includes stories, songs, and surprise activities for preschoolers. Saturday Story Stop happens year-round at 10:30 AM and offers stories and fun for the whole family. A small red fire truck graphic notes a special visit on July 13.
Join us for a morning of boogying with your baby at Baby Rave on Monday, July 14th at 10:30 AM. Designed for ages 0–3, this playful event features remixes of classic kids’ music and movement-based songs to get everyone glowing and grooving. Part of the Summer Reading Challenge 2025, Color Our World.
Join us for LEGO Masters Mania, a thrilling building competition for ages 5–12! Dive into thousands of bricks, compete individually or as a team, and fight for the title of LEGO Master. Events take place on Mondays, June 16th and July 14th from 1:30 to 3:00 PM as part of SRC 2025: Color Our World.
Flyer for the 2024 Paws to Read program at the Downtown Library, part of the “Adventure Begins at Your Library” summer reading theme. Kids who can read independently are invited to sign up to read to a real therapy dog. Sign-up is in person at Youth Services. The program runs from June 12 to July 24, with 20-minute sessions available on Mondays from 2:00 to 4:00 PM and Wednesdays from 1:00 to 3:00 PM. The flyer features paw print accents, an illustration of a child reading on a couch, and a small therapy dog sitting beside them.
Express your creativity at the East Flagstaff Community Library with the Nature Crafts series! Each session focuses on one of the biological kingdoms—Plantae, Fungi, or Animalia. Join us every other Tuesday from 10–11 AM for a fun and educational project: June 17th is Nature Masks & Crowns, July 1st is Paper Plate Mushrooms, and July 15th is Animal Track Painting with Water Blasters. On July 15th, we’ll meet at the community ramada at Bushmaster Park’s east entrance for an exciting outdoor crafting experience. This kids program is for ages 3 and up. Part of the Color Our World 2025 series.
Join us for Bards & Nobles: Dungeons & Dragons for Teens! Designed for ages 12–18, this one-shot D&D adventure series will take place on Tuesday, June 24th and Tuesday, July 15th from 1:30 to 4:00 PM. Registration is required as space is limited—sign up at https://tiny.cc/fplbards25. Part of SRC 2025: Color Our World.
Glide into fun with Storytime on Ice, part of the Summer Reading Challenge 2025! Join library staff for a quick storytime on the rink followed by open skating at Jay Lively Activity Center (1650 N Turquoise Dr, Flagstaff). Events take place on June 24th and July 15th from 4:00 to 5:30 PM. Open to ages 5 and up—children under 10 must be accompanied by an adult. Registration is required and opens June 10th for the first session and July 1st for the second. Don’t forget to bring your helmet from home! Sign up at http://tiny.cc/fplskate.
Get ready to compete in the 2025 Video Game Tournament, part of the Color Our World summer reading program! Open to ages 8–18, this two-day event features exciting matchups: Super Smash Bros. on Monday, June 23rd from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM, and Street Fighter 6 on Wednesday, July 16th from 12:00 to 1:30 PM. Show off your skills and battle for victory!
Join us for Tosho-Con 2025 on July 16th from 4–6 PM at the East Flagstaff Community Library! This all-ages event celebrates Japanese culture through anime, art, martial arts, and storytelling. Enjoy crafts, games, demonstrations, and more. This year’s theme is Hanami—come color our world with flowers as we honor the beauty of blossoms and creativity.
Paws to Read at the East Flagstaff Community Library invites kids who are reading independently to sign up for a special reading session with a real therapy dog! Sessions run on Thursdays from June 12th to July 24th, between 11 AM and 1 PM, and are 20 minutes long. Come to the front desk at EFCL to sign your child up in person. Note: there will be no program on June 19th, as both libraries will be closed in celebration of Juneteenth.
Join us for Makers’ Lab at the library—part of Color Our World 2025! This creative program invites youth ages 3 and up to explore, build, and make hands-on projects together. Sessions take place on Thursdays, June 12th and July 17th from 1:30 to 2:30 PM. Let’s design, create, and have fun!
Get your game on at Game Day, part of Color Our World 2025 at the East Flagstaff Community Library! Open to ages 8–17, this weekly program features video games and tabletop games every Thursday from June 12 to July 24, 3:00 to 4:30 PM. Please note there will be no Game Day on June 19th in observance of Juneteenth.
Join us for Friday Flicks on July 18th at the Downtown Library Community Room as part of the Summer Reading Challenge 2025: Color Our World! The fun begins with a craft at 1:30 PM, followed by a screening of Kung Fu Panda 4 at 2:00 PM. Bring your friends and enjoy a cozy afternoon of creativity and movie magic!
Join us for Mandala & Pointillism Rock Painting at the East Flagstaff Community Library! These relaxing art sessions will be held on Fridays, June 27 and July 18, from 4:00 to 5:00 PM. Learn to create beautiful radial designs or simple representative art using dots and small strokes. Registration is required at tiny.cc/fplcraft.
Flyer for Saturday Story Stop, a family storytime event offered year-round as part of the “Color Our World / Colorea Nuestro Mundo” theme. The program takes place every Saturday at 10:30 AM and includes stories and fun for the whole family. Free Technology Instruction and Resume Help. 30-minute,one-on-one instruction sessions available for help with introductory software, creating email accounts, downloading eBooks, résumé development, online job applications, and more.
