Adult & All-Ages Events

Flyer for “Paint Night: Pop Art Pet Portraits” on Monday, July 7 from 5:00 to 7:30 p.m. at the library. The event invites participants to create a vibrant pop art portrait of their pet in a beginner-friendly painting workshop. An artist will pre-sketch the pet on canvas; all materials are provided. Attendees should email a clear photo of one pet to libraryprograms@flagstaffpubliclibrary.org by June 30. If no photo is submitted, a reference image will be provided.
Flyer for “Senior Coffee Hour,” held the second Wednesday of every month at 10 a.m. at the downtown library’s northwest corner. The event offers coffee and snacks for older adults age 55 and up. Scheduled guest speakers are listed monthly from February to July 2025, including representatives from Coconino Community College, Northern Arizona Book Festival, City of Flagstaff, and more. July 9 features a behind-the-scenes tour of the library with Mary Corcoran. Hosted by AmeriCorps Seniors and NAU.
A playful, notebook-themed flyer for “Wily Writers,” a weekly writing group held every Wednesday at 5:30 PM in the Northwest Corner of the Downtown Library. The flyer invites participants to make writing a habit through prompts, timed writing sessions, and group sharing. It emphasizes community, creativity, and support among writers. Book Clubs

Youth Events

Toddler Tales runs June 17 and July 22 on Tuesdays at 10:30 AM, with stories, songs, and fun for toddlers. Preschool Express runs June 26 through July 24 on Thursdays at 10:30 AM and includes stories, songs, and surprise activities for preschoolers. Saturday Story Stop happens year-round at 10:30 AM and offers stories and fun for the whole family. A small red fire truck graphic notes a special visit on July 13.
