It takes place every Wednesday at the new time of 5:30pm, and is located in the Northwest corner of the Downtown Library. Make writing a habit with practice! Preschool Express: September 9 – November 12, Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 10:00 a.m. For preschoolers with interactive stories and activities. Saturday Story Stop: Year-round, Saturdays at 10:30 a.m. A family-friendly storytime for all ages. Book Clubs
A promotional graphic for the Southwest Reads Book Club. The featured book is Desert Oracle: Volume 1 by Ken Layne, described as “a collection of essays that serve as a field guide to the strange and intriguing secrets of the Mojave Desert.” The meeting is scheduled for Sept. 24. A “Coming soon” note mentions Code Talker for Nov. 18 (moved to the 3rd Wednesday due to Thanksgiving). The book club meets the 4th Wednesday of every other month at 6:00 pm in the Downtown Library Community Room. Books are available at the Downtown Library Information Desk. The background uses a cracked desert texture with bold black and yellow accents.
