Adult & All-Ages Events

It takes place every Wednesday at the new time of 5:30pm, and is located in the Northwest corner of the Downtown Library. Make writing a habit with practice! With the use of prompts, time allotments, and group sharing, Wily Writers will learn more about their writing and support others along the way. You bring your writing tools and we’ll bring the fun!

Youth Events

Bouncing Babies: September 8 – November 10, Mondays at 9:15 a.m. A program for infants with songs, fingerplays, and stories.  Toddler Tales: September 9 – November 12, Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 9:15 a.m. For toddlers with stories, songs, and movement.  Preschool Express: September 9 – November 12, Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 10:00 a.m. For preschoolers with interactive stories and activities.  Saturday Story Stop: Year-round, Saturdays at 10:30 a.m. A family-friendly storytime for all ages. Book Clubs
A promotional graphic for the Southwest Reads Book Club. The featured book is Desert Oracle: Volume 1 by Ken Layne, described as “a collection of essays that serve as a field guide to the strange and intriguing secrets of the Mojave Desert.” The meeting is scheduled for Sept. 24. A “Coming soon” note mentions Code Talker for Nov. 18 (moved to the 3rd Wednesday due to Thanksgiving). The book club meets the 4th Wednesday of every other month at 6:00 pm in the Downtown Library Community Room. Books are available at the Downtown Library Information Desk. The background uses a cracked desert texture with bold black and yellow accents.

Free Technology Instruction and Resume Help. 30-minute,one-on-one instruction sessions available for help with introductory software, creating email accounts, downloading eBooks, résumé development, online job applications, and more.
