FLAGSTAFF, Ariz — The Flagstaff City–Coconino County Public Library and the American Library Association (ALA) invite the community to celebrate Library Card Sign-Up Month this September.
This year’s theme, “A Library Card Hits All the Right Notes,” celebrates the many ways a library card can connect with multiple resources, experiences, programs, events, materials, and more. Having a library card allows you to access so much more than just physical materials, and the city hopes to connect patrons with their community this month by encouraging visits to participating businesses.
The Flagstaff City – Coconino County Public Library will mark this annual occasion with two special promotions in September.
- Discounts and prizes from local businesses – Over 45 participating businesses across Flagstaff will reward library card holders with special offers – all you have to do is show your library card! Incentives vary depending on location and apply to both new and current cardholders. Maps highlighting participating locations are available at both Flagstaff libraries. - Punch cards – Complete 3 easy activities in September for a chance to enter a raffle, with over 20 prizes donated by local businesses. It’s as easy as getting or already having your library card, checking out materials, and using them! Punch cards are available at both Flagstaff libraries. (Limit one card per patron).
