September 26, marks the first notes of a new season for Flagstaff Symphony Orchestra—and we’d love to see you there! Fanfares & Fireworks opens a year of music that celebrates beauty, bold journeys, and thrilling triumphs. Tomorrow night’s concert begins at 7:30 PM in Ardrey Memorial Auditorium.

The concert opens with Tchaikovsky’s luminous Violin Concerto, featuring guest artist Steven Moeckel as soloist. Following intermission, you’ll experience the dramatic, yet rarely performed overture to Édouard Lalo’s Le roi d’Ys. The concert ends with Janáček’s stunning Sinfonietta, composed for an enormous brass section (including 12 trumpets!) and full orchestra, delivering a radiant, triumphant finale to the opening night of Season 76.

6:00 PM, Kitt Recital Hall Atrium: Join us for the pre-concert reception to start the evening. Enjoy complimentary snacks and coffee, purchase beer and wine, and share community and conversation.
6:30 PM, Kitt Recital Hall: Learn about the opening concertin conversation with Maestro Charles Latshaw and soloist Steven Moeckel.
7:30 PM, Ardrey Memorial Auditorium: Enjoy the concert!
All FSO concerts are held at Ardrey Memorial Auditorium on NAU’s campus. To parkon campus, NAU requires a valid permit year-round. Parking is managed by NAU, so please plan ahead and allow a little extra time to find your spot. Visit NAU Visitor Parking for more information.
