In July, Flagstaff voters will narrow the field of City Council candidates in a Primary Election on July 21.
To assist voters in choosing candidates, F3 developed a Questionnaire for the City Council candidates. We are pleased that all candidates provided answers to our questions.
If you’re registered to vote within the City of Flagstaff, you may select three city council candidates from the seven named on the ballot. The goal of the Primary Election for City Council is to narrow the field of candidates down to the maximum of six who will be listed on the General Election ballot in November.
Note that the Primary Election will not include the position of City Mayor; Becky Daggett is running unopposed for her current position as mayor and F3 did not request her answers to our questionnaire at this time.
To craft the eight questions for the Council candidates, F3 pulled from our knowledge of specific issues facing the Flagstaff community, as well as from our emailed call to our members and the public for suggested candidate questions.
Questions include topics related to water, climate action, public safety, preemption of local control, data centers, and potential changes to development processes.
F3 is a nonpartisan 501 (c)(3) nonprofit and legally cannot endorse candidates for office. The candidates’ answers to the questionnaire are provided alphabetically by last name.
You may view the candidates’ answers in two organizational formats. These are available at the following two links as PDFs that will automatically download when selected.
