COCONINO COUNTY — As part of our sustainability initiative, Coconino County announces Switch Together, a group buying program for solar installations. Switch Together uses a group buying model to help residents save money on home solar installations. The most recent auction secured a discount of 17 percent, which translates to an average discount of $5,200. The program is supported in partnership with nonprofit Solar United Neighbors. Switch Together makes rooftop solar installations more affordable, while also offering solar education through online resources and in-person events.
“If ever you’ve thought about going solar, now’s your chance,” said Jess White, Solar United Neighbors Arizona Program Associate. “Switch Together helps you learn if going solar is right for you. You’ll have expert guidance through every step of the process.”
The program organizes a reverse auction with qualified installers who compete to offer their most competitive prices. This ensures participants receive a discount on a high-quality solar installation. In addition to the group discount, residents may qualify for additional incentives. The Switch Together program provides an excellent opportunity for residents to switch to solar energy.

Participants will receive a free personal recommendation upon registering. It is free to register. There is no obligation to accept an offer.
Solar United Neighbors will also be hosting two free virtual Solar 101s to help educate folks about solar technology and economics, particularly in a changing energy landscape with increasing gas costs and APS’s proposed 14 percent rate increase. The virtual are on Thursday, June 4 at 6 p.m. AZT and Thursday, August 20 at 6 p.m. AZT.
