City of Flagstaff Regional Plan 2045 — Register to Vote in the Upcoming Regional Plan Election

Monday, April 20th is the deadline to register to vote in the special election on the Flagstaff Regional Plan.

City of Flagstaff — Regional Plan election Info & upcoming chats

Registered voters in the City of Flagstaff will be asked to vote on whether to ratify or not ratify the Flagstaff Regional Land Use Plan 2045 in a special election held on May 19, 2026. The special election will be a vote-by-mail only election. There will be no polling places on election day.

Regional Plan Special Election arguments due Feb. 18

On May 19th, registered voters in the city will be asked whether or not to ratify the Regional Plan in a special ballot-by-mail election. Each household with a registered voter will receive an informational pamphlet that includes arguments for and against Question 492. 

Flagstaff City Council Adopts Regional Plan

On Thursday, October 9, the Flagstaff City Council voted to adopt the Flagstaff Regional Land Use Plan 2045 with a list of Conditions of Approval and an Errata document. 

The Conditions of Approval and Errata direct staff to make several edits to the plan. City Council discussed and modified the recommendations by the Planning & Zoning Commission, which first reviewed and refined these lists. Click the links below to access these documents.

City of Flagstaff to hold Flagstaff Regional Plan 2045 meeting Oct. 9

FLAGSTAFF — The City of Flagstaff will hold a Citizen’s Review Session and three public hearings, beginning this month, to consider adoption of the Flagstaff Regional Plan 2045 as a comprehensive update of the City’s General Plan. The public hearing draft of the Regional Plan is available online and the City invites the Flagstaff community to read the draft, submit comments, and attend the hearings, which will be held according to the following schedule. A virtual option will be provided for each meeting.

The 60-Day Public Review for the DRAFT Flagstaff Regional Land Use Plan is here, and we need your help! Your feedback on the proposed content is crucial to bringing our community’s vision to life. Your comments will directly shape the final plan and what appears on next year’s ballot. All comments from the public review period are due on Thursday, December 19, 2024, at 5 pm.
