Bilingual report — City of Flagstaff reports ICE signs lease for office space on Plaza Way

FLAGSTAFF — The City of Flagstaff announced on Thursday, April 9 that it has received confirmation that U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement – Enforcement and Removal Operations (ICE ERO) has signed a lease for office space at 1585 S. Plaza Way in Flagstaff. The property is near the former Suddenlink/Optimum customer service building.

Two City of Flagstaff Police Dept. patrol units could be seen parked in front of the location on Thursday evening.

Keep Flagstaff Together, a project of the Catch Fire Movement, has stated on its Facebook page to “Stay away from 1585 South Plaza Way, Suites 150 & 160. Call 928-395-6330 to request witnesses for support and to record a suspected encounter with immigration law enforcement.”

Flagstaff Police Chief Musselman to be recognized during June 18 Council Meeting

FLAGSTAFF — Members of the public are invited to attend a recognition event for Flagstaff Police Chief Dan Musselman during the Tuesday, June 18 Council Meeting. The meeting will start at 3 p.m. and will be held at City Hall (211 W Aspen Ave). Light refreshments will be served.

Chief Musselman began working for the City of Flagstaff in November 1995 as a Police Officer. During his almost 29-year career with the City he served as Corporal Detective, Police Sergeant, Police Lieutenant, and Deputy Police Chief. He began serving as the City of Flagstaff Police Chief in December 2020.

On June 10th,the Flagstaff Police Department will be hosting a couple of community meeting events. These meetings are to allow concerned citizens and business owners to meet with consultants who will be making recommendations on a nuisance noise ordinance. The attached flyers outline the dates, times and locations.
