Sometimes as adults, we make things too complicated when they really are quite simple. Like why it’s so important to Live United.

That’s why we asked our friend (and United Way “spokes-kid”) Priah to break it all down and show how your donation to our Annual Campaign changes lives and makes our community stronger.

Every year, employees from dozens of companies in our region get involved in workplace giving campaigns to support the United Way of Northern Arizona. These campaigns unite employees because it gives them a chance to work together supporting causes that matter to them.

The workforce campaign is about more than raising money for worthy causes; it also strengthens the connections between employees, your company and your community because you can see the results in your own backyard.

This year, donations to the United Way are eligible for “above-the-line” tax deductions (essentially reductions to your adjusted gross income) under the CARES Act. This deduction, up to $300 for individuals and $600 for couples filing jointly, applies even if you don’t itemize and only take the standard deduction on your 2020 taxes.
