FLAGSTAFF — All good things must come to an end and so it was for the 13th annual Celebraciones de la Gente, presented on Oct. 23, 2016 by the Museum of Northern Arizona and Flagstaff Nuestras Raíces.
Martin Espino led those in attendance in a moving ceremony, explaining the significance of the blessing of the copal smoke as he walked about Jaime Major Golightly Historic Courtyard followed by Mariachi Sol Azteca from Tucson
Following the blessing of the altars in the courtyard, Espino led the procession to the community altar at the north entrance before taking the group outside for the annual group photo in front of the museum.
