April 27 — Properly dispose of batteries, lightbulbs, medications and more at Drop-off Day in Flagstaff

FLAGSTAFF — The City of Flagstaff Sustainability Office, Flagstaff Police Department, and Coconino County invite you to attend a Drop-off Day event on Saturday, April 27 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Coconino County Health and Human Services building (2625 N King St).

We are excited to partner with the Flagstaff Hazardous Products Center, Coconino County, Flagstaff Police Department, Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA), Ponderosa Medical Waste Services, Elevated Shredding, and Westech Recyclers to put your waste in the right place.

At Drop-off Day, the following items will be accepted:

  • Expired or unwanted medications, vitamins, or supplements
  • Aerosol cans
  • Batteries
  • CFLs (light bulbs)/ fluorescent tubes/LEDs
  • Electronic waste such as computers and printers
  • Medical syringes
  • Sensitive documents for onsite shredding (2 boxes per vehicle max)

The following items are not accepted:

  • CRT televisions
  • Liquid waste such as latex paint, cough syrup, and other chemicals
  • Illegal drugs
  • Car seats
  • Commercial waste
