City of Flagstaff announces expanded closures, cancellations

FLAGSTAFF — The Flagstaff City Mayor, Coral Evans has issued a proclamation deemed necessary for the protection of life and property in the city of Flagstaff. This proclamation removes the end date of April 1, 2020 at 11:59 p.m. in her previous proclamation, continuing the proclamation closures until further notice to comply with the Governor’s Executive Order. This proclamation also expands the existing closure to include hair salons, nail salons, beauty parlors or similar businesses and establishments. This proclamation is effective March 26, 2020 at 8 p.m., continuing until further notice.

The restrictions do not apply to any of the following:

  • Grocery stores, markets, convenience stores and other similar businesses and establishments that offer food and beverage not for on-premises consumption;
  • Pharmacies and drug stores;
  • Food banks and food pantries;
  • Cafeterias, commissaries, and restaurants located within health care facilities, nursing homes, shelters, group homes, places of worship, or similar facilities; and
  • Cafeterias, commissaries, and restaurants located within or on the premises of institutions of higher learning.
  • Vendors and concessionaires located within the Flagstaff Pulliam Airport.

The current public health crisis related to COVID-19 is being monitored as it is evolving and additional regulations may be forthcoming as needed.
