April 5 — City of Flagstaff hosts final interview event for Deputy City Manager candidate

FLAGSTAFF — The City of Flagstaff invites members of the public to attend a final interview event on Thursday, April 6 from 3 – 5 p.m. at Flagstaff City Hall (211 W Aspen Ave) for the position of Deputy City Manager. The City had 175 potential candidates, invited 11 to preliminary interviews, and identified two candidates to participate in the final interview process. One of these two candidates recently accepted another position and therefore the City will be moving forward with the remaining candidate for the final interview. Below is her name and brief biography.

Joanne Keene – Ms. Keene is a certified public manager with a bachelor’s degree in English and broadcast journalism and a master’s in public administration. She has 23 years of experience in public service. Ms. Keene currently serves as a Deputy City Manager for the City of Sedona. Her previous roles consist of Deputy County Manager for Coconino County, Executive Vice President and Chief of Staff at Northern Arizona University, Government Relations Director at Coconino County, Chief of Staff, Legislative Director, and Legislative Assistant for the U.S. House of Representatives, and Public Information Officer for the Arizona Department of Water Resources.
