City of Flagstaff provides tips on flying from Flagstaff’s Airport during the holidays

City of FlagstaffFLAGSTAFF — The holidays often mean travel and air travel could mean longer lines, and crowds. The staff at Flagstaff’s Airport would like to make your travel plans as easy as possible with a few helpful tips, the City of Flagstaff reported Monday in a media release.

Parking: Parking is limited at the Flagstaff Airport, so if you can get dropped off or take ground transportation you will not have to hunt for a spot.

Gifts and Packaging: The TSA will see larger amounts of carry on and gift packages. If possible, don’t wrap your packages before travel. If the package comes up questionable they will have to open them.

Allowing extra time: The TSA is working hard to get people through quickly but please allow extra time for this process. We are seeing more traffic this year than ever before, and Thanksgiving is the busiest time to travel. The airlines also will see longer lines and checking baggage takes additional time. Please allow extra travel time.

Flying in and out of Flagstaff is better than driving to Phoenix to catch a flight. And it can remain an easy process if you remember and use these travel tips.

Thank you for choosing to fly from Flagstaff Airport.
