Coconino County Parks & Recreation Master Plan update for Oct. 16

COCONINO COUNTY — Coconino County Parks & Recreation continues their work on the department’s Master Plan process this fall. To date Coconino County Parks & Recreation has conducted 13 presentations for community groups and held 25 public and stakeholder meetings across the county. The project team has participated in 4 open houses and received 63 online questionnaires. Through these efforts, the County has connected with approximately 700 individuals.

If you were able to attend a meeting and provide input, I want to thank you for your help and support of this process – it could not have been done without you!  It has been an incredibly rewarding experience to hear from the wonderful people of this county. The input you provided will shape the county’s Parks and Recreation Master Plan and lead to a more comprehensive parks, recreation, trail, and open space system for county residents.

Through the month of October, Parks & Recreation will continue to collect input through a few additional meetings, tabling and outreach opportunities, and through the online questionnaire.  The statistically valid survey will go out in early 2019 with a Master Plan draft ready for review in mid-Spring. Please help Parks & Recreation spread the word about the Master Plan and encourage your friends and neighbors to fill out the online questionnaire. The questionnaire will remain up on the Parks & Recreation website until October 31.

Thank you again for your participation, feedback and insight!
