Día de los Muertos celebrations to be held in region with a Sugar Skull sale at Flagstaff First Friday on Nov. 1; at Killip Elementary on Nov 2

COCONINO COUNTY — A variety of spirited Día de los Muertos / Day of the Dead celebrations will be held in Flagstaff, Sedona and elsewhere in Northern Arizona.

Nov. 1 — Sugar Skull sale, for upcoming Día de los Muertos / Day of the Dead celebrations, will be presented by Flagstaff Nuestras Raíces from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 1 at Banderas Craft Tacos, 11 E. Aspen Ave., Flagstaff. Presented as part of the Flagstaff First Friday Artwalk.

 

 

Nov. 2Día de los Muertos Celebration at Tlaquepaque Arts & Shopping VillageTlaquepaquw336 AZ-179, Sedona, AZ 86336, USA map. Join us in the courtyards of Tlaquepaque on Saturday, November 2nd, 2019 from 4:00pm to 8:00pm, for one of Tlaquepaque’s most exciting events. Dia de Los Muertos celebrates the timeless Mexican tradition of honoring friends and family who have passed on. Enjoy music, food, fire dancing and more. Public altars are set up throughout the grounds-bring objects, photos, and candles to leave as an offering. Day of the Dead costumes are strongly encouraged. This is a great event for adults and children. This event is free. Free Shuttles to and from Tlaquepaque.

Nov. 2 — The second annual Día de los Muertos Celebration will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 2 at WF Killip Elementary School Gymnasium, 2300 E. 6th Ave., Flagstaff. Join us for a night full of activities, culture, fundraising, food and music.
