Adult & All-Ages Events
A-Year-In-Books Ornament Take & Make Kit Celebrate the holidays by creating a custom ornament full of tiny books representing what you read this year!  Instructions and ornament shell are provided.   Kits are available at the Downtown Library Information Desk starting December 1st, while supplies last.
The Season of Giving: Holiday Card Project. Tuesday, December 5th, 2023, 3:30 to 4:30pm. Join us as we make holiday cards for people who are hospitalized this season. All ages welcome. At the East Library.
The Past, Present, & Future Around the San Francisco Peaks as Revealed by Repeat Photography. Join ecologist and historian John L. Vankat to see how his repeat photography shows dramatic changes in the San Francisco Peaks region, that have created larger, more intense wildfires. Tuesday, December 5th from 6:30 to 7:30pm at the Downtown Library.
Game Night. First Wednesday of each month from 5 to 7:30pm. December 6th is at the East Flagstaff Community Library. Board games, multi-player card games, strategy games, social games, and much more!
Book Clubs
Senior Book Club at the Joe C Montoya Senior Center. 3rd Monday of every month. December 18th at 1pm. Ms. Demeanor by Elinor Lipman.
LGBT+ Book Club. January 8th at 6:30pm. The Library of the Unwritten by A. J. Hackwith. East Library.
Thursday Night Book Club: Angle of Repose by Wallace Stegner. January 11th at 6pm. Pick up a copy of the book at the Downtown Information Desk. Meet in the downtown community room or online via zoom!
Southwest Reads Book Club. Capirotada January 24th. Coming soon: March 27th Brave the Wild River and May 22nd Mesa of Sorrows. 4th Wednesday of every other month at 6pm. Downtown Community Room.
Banned Book Club: Speak. Tuesday February 6th from 6 to 7pm in the Downtown Library Community Room. Rape? Immorality? "Soft-pornography"? Join us to discuss the novel as well as the concepts of free speech and censorship as we encounter them today.
Youth Events
Teen Movie Day at the East Flagstaff Community Library. Wednesdays December 6th, 13th, and 20th at 1pm. December 6th is Twilight.
FCCPL presents the 45th Annual Holiday Program. Saturday, December 9th at 10:30am. Join us for stories, songs, crafts, and a visit from a special guest. For all ages.
Technology Help
Free Technology Instruction and Resume Help. 30-minute,one-on-one instruction sessions available for help with introductory software, creating email accounts, downloading eBooks, résumé development, online job applications, and more.   Click here to see available dates. Registration is required for all sessions.
