Adult & All-Ages Events
Origami Tulips Take-and-Make Kit. Welcome spring by creating your own origami tulip bouquet! Instructions and paper are provided. Kits available at the Downtown Library Information Desk, March 22nd-April 21st, while supplies last.
Do-It-Yourself Book Repair. Learn about basic book repair in this hands-on workshop! Please bring no more than 2 items to be mended. Two sessions to choose from: Tuesday, Apr 9th 5:30pm-6:30pm or Monday, Apr 1st 11:00am-12:00pm in the Downtown Library Community Room.
Beginner Technology Classes. Join us for a beginners series to learn everything you need to know to use a personal computer or technology at the library. All technology is provided for computer-based classes. Seats are limited and registration is required. Resume Basics on Tuesday, April 2; Internet Basics on Tuesday, April 16; Email Basics on Tuesday, May 7; Cyber Security Basics on Tuesday, June 4; Computer Basics on Tuesday, March 5; Smart Phone Basics on Tuesday, March 12. Game Night. First Wednesday of each month from 5 to 7:30pm. April 3rd is at the East Flagstaff Community Library. Board games, multi-player card games, strategy games, social games, and much more!
Let’s Talk about Elections. Presented by the Coconino County Elections Department. Coconino County Elections will provide detailed and accurate information on topics including unique election rules, vote centers, polling locations, working in elections, and more. Tuesday April 4th at 6:00pm in the Downtown Library Community Room.
Book Clubs
Poetry Book Club. Join us for the first gathering of the library’s poetry book club. Stick around (if interested) for some writing exercises afterwards! April 10 at 5:30PM Postcolonial Love Poem by Natalie Diaz. Pick up a copy of the book at the Downtown Information Desk and meet in the Downtown Community Room! Natalie Diaz will read at the Northern Arizona Book Festival on April 12. Free admission! For more info on the fest, use the QR Code.
Thursday Night Book Club: Dinosaurs: A Novel by Lydia Millet. April 11th at 6pm. May 9th at 6pm The Man Who Could Move Clouds. June 13th at 6pm The Undocumented Americans. Pick up a copy of the book at the Downtown Information Desk. Meet in the downtown community room or online via zoom!
Senior Book Club at the Joe C. Montoya Community & Senior Center. April 15th at 1pm. 3rd Monday of every month. Trust by Hernan Diaz. Upcoming: The Other Einstein by Marie Benedict.
Banned Book Club: Animal Farm. Tuesday May 7th, from 6 to 7pm in the Downtown Library Community Room. “All animals are equal, but some animals are more equal than others.” Join us to discuss the novel as well as the concepts of free speech and censorship as we encounter them today.
LGBT+ Book Club. May 13th at 6:30pm. An Unkindness of Ghosts by Rivers Solomon. East Library.
Southwest Reads Book Club. Mesa of Sorrows by James F. Brooks on May 22nd. Coming soon: Black Gun, Silver Star on July 24th and Desert Solitaire on September 25th. Wednesday of every other month at 6pm. Downtown Community Room.

Free Technology Instruction and Resume Help. 30-minute,one-on-one instruction sessions available for help with introductory software, creating email accounts, downloading eBooks, résumé development, online job applications, and more.
