Upcoming Library Closures
Due to building maintenance, the Downtown Library will be CLOSED from Monday, April 22nd to Tuesday, April 30th. We apologize for the inconvenience.  There will be a pop-up library with limited services like hold pickups in the City Hall council conference room, Monday through Friday, 9am to 4pm.  The East Flagstaff Community Library is open regular hours.
Adult & All-Ages Events
Origami Tulips Take-and-Make Kit. Welcome spring by creating your own origami tulip bouquet! Instructions and paper are provided. Kits available at the Downtown Library Information Desk, March 22nd-April 21st, while supplies last.
Beginner Technology Classes. Join us for a beginners series to learn everything you need to know to use a personal computer or technology at the library. All technology is provided for computer-based classes. Seats are limited and registration is required. Internet Basics on Tuesday, April 16; Email Basics on Tuesday, May 7; Cyber Security Basics on Tuesday, June 4; Computer Basics on Tuesday, March 5; Smart Phone Basics on Tuesday, March 12; Resume Basics on Tuesday, April 2. Movie & Discussion: Southside Stories. April 16th, 5:30-6:30pm in the Downtown Library Community Room. View and discuss three micro-documentaries about Flagstaff’s Southside Neighborhood. Not rated. Contains some cursing and vulgarities.
Pride in Your Community. Book Talk. Wednesday, April 17th at 2-4 PM. The East Flagstaff Community Library in partnership with Office of Inclusion (IMQ) will be talking about books and related materials focusing on the LGBTQIA+ Community. Ages 18+. City of Flagstaff Job Fair. Friday, April 19th, 2023 from 11am to 1pm, at the Downtown Library. See current job openings, learn how to create a resume and cover letter, and speak with representatives from city departments. 1-on-1 resume & cover letter help will be running throughout the event. Book Clubs
Senior Book Club at the Joe C. Montoya Community & Senior Center. April 15th at 1pm. 3rd Monday of every month. Trust by Hernan Diaz. Upcoming: The Other Einstein by Marie Benedict.
Banned Book Club: Animal Farm. Tuesday May 7th, from 6 to 7pm in the Downtown Library Community Room. “All animals are equal, but some animals are more equal than others.” Join us to discuss the novel as well as the concepts of free speech and censorship as we encounter them today.
LGBT+ Book Club. May 13th at 6:30pm. An Unkindness of Ghosts by Rivers Solomon. East Library.
Southwest Reads Book Club. Mesa of Sorrows by James F. Brooks on May 22nd. Coming soon: Black Gun, Silver Star on July 24th and Desert Solitaire on September 25th. Wednesday of every other month at 6pm. Downtown Community Room.
Youth Events
Spring 2024 Storytimes at the Flagstaff Downtown Library. Baby Lap Time March 26 to May 7 Tuesdays at 9:15. Toddler Tales March 26 to May 9 Tuesdays at 10am & Thursdays at 9:15am. Preschool Express March 27 to May 9 Wednesdays and Thursdays at 10am. Saturday Story Stop year-round at 10:30am for all ages.
Crafty Corner. Express your creativity at the East Flagstaff Community Library! Tuesdays, March 26 to May 7, 2024 from 3:30 to 4:30pm. Ages 3+.
Flagstaff Public Library Chess Club. April 2nd, 16th, and May 7th at 3:45pm. Play chess with us. Learn chess with us. Ages 7+.

Technology Help
Free Technology Instruction and Resume Help. 30-minute,one-on-one instruction sessions available for help with introductory software, creating email accounts, downloading eBooks, résumé development, online job applications, and more.
