Adult & All-Ages Events
Pride in Your Community. Pride Paint Night. Monday, June 19th from 6:30-7:30pm. Join us at EFCL for a night of painting! Put all your PRIDE into your painting and contribute to a community art piece! Ages 12+. Call (928) 213-2348 or visit EFCL to register. Registration recommended.
Movie Tuesday: Won't You Be my Neighbor? June 20th, 5:30 to 7:45pm. Downtown Library Community Room. This documentary paints a portrait of the life and legacy of cardigan-wearing children's entertainer Fred Rogers, star of the popular show “Mister Rogers' Neighborhood.”
Community Living Room: A free monthly program featuring an interesting local with something to share! June 21st, 6 to 7 PM,  northwest corner of the Downtown Library. Meet David Grandon, artist, community activist, cannabis proponent, outdoor enthusiast, and tiny trail tinkerer.
Community Science Fair. Thursday, June 22nd at 5:30pm. Check out exciting research based in Flagstaff with hands-on exhibits from local scientists and organizations stationed throughout the Downtown Library! Teens, adults, families, and kids of all ages are welcome!
Meet Us at the Trailhead. Saturday, June 24th at 9AM: Arizona Trail at Pine Grove. Join library staff on a 2-3 mile out-and-back hike - with interesting history and excellent views - for a stretch along the Arizona Trail! Click here for directions to the trailhead.
George Breed's 85th Birthday Bash! Flagstaff author & photographer George Breed's photo journal, Walking Flagstaff, has been reprinted with 14 new pages of photos, just in time for his 85th birthday! Join us to celebrate George and his quirky vision of our community! June 24th, starting at 1 p.m. Downtown Library

Paws to Read: Sign up to practice reading to a real therapy dog! Mondays & Thursdays from June 5th to July 20th: 20 minute appointments. Come in person to the Downtown Youth Services to sign up for your reading time. Registration starts May 30th.
Storytimes at the Downtown Library! Bouncing Babies: June 23rd and July 14th at 10:30 am. Toddler Tales: June 13th to July 18th, Tuesdays at 10:30 am. Preschool Express: June 15th to July 20th, Thursdays at 10:30 am. Saturday Story Stop: Year-round at 10:30 am.
Game Time Hang Time: Come chill with board games, Switch, PS4, and Free Snacks. June 20th and July 18th from 1:30 to 2:30pm. Downtown Library.
Family Storytime at Bushmaster Park Community Ramada. Wednesdays, June 7th to July 19th from 10:30to 11:15 am.
Kids Sewing (recommended ages 8and up). Wednesday, June 21st on the Downtown Library lawn at 10:30 am. Hand sew a special project with help from Threaded Together!
"Bee" a pollinator pal this summer! Learn about pollinators, tour local garden spaces and build a pollinator water station using up-cycled materials. June 21st, 2023 1:30 to 3:00 pm. Flagstaff sustainability office, 419 N. Mogollon St. *Please wear a hat, sunscreen, and bring drinking water. Ages 8 and up.

Game Day @ East Flagstaff Community Library. Play video games and tabletop games. Wednsedays, June 21st and July 5th and 19th. Ages 8 to 17
Jolly Roger Magic Show. He will delight and amaze both young and old, with his magic and comedy. June 22nd,  Two shows available: 11:OO am  @ East Flagstaff Community Library or 1:30 pm @ Heritage Square.
Storytime on the Road: Join us for a storytime and games at a local park! Thursdays @ 4:30pm. Doney Park Dates: June 29th. Kachina Village Dates: June 22nd and July 6th
Friday Flicks: June 9th, 16th, 23rd, and 30th and July 7th and 14th. Craft at 1:30, movie at 2pm. Join us in the Community Room for a kid-friendly movie!  We'll have a themed craft 30 minutes before the movie begins.

Senior Book Club at the Joe C Montoya Senior Center. June 19th at 1pm. Harlem Shuffle by Colson Whitehead.

Banned Book Club: To Kill a Mockingbird. Tuesday June 27th at 6pm. Downtown Library. Racism? Rape? "White Saviors"?  Join us to discuss the novel as well as the concepts of free speech and censorship as we encounter them today.
LGBT+ Book Club. The Raven Tower by Ann Leckie. July 10th at 6:30PM.
Thursday Night Book Club: The Sentence by Louise Erdich. July 13th at 6 PM, Downtown Library & on Zoom.
Southwest Reads Book Club: One Woman's West. July 26th at 6:pm. Downtown Library.
Technology Help
Free Technology Instruction and Resume Help. 30-minute,one-on-one instruction sessions available for help with introductory software, creating email accounts, downloading eBooks, résumé development, online job applications, and more.   Click here to see available dates. Registration is required for all sessions.
